It was in the second week of operations that I suffered some losses. The old wire fence surrounding my property was ancient. It was sagging in some places and almost torn down in other parts. It might have been due to this that rats and other vermin were able to enter the chicken coops. The rodents must’ve wounded around a third of all the chickens in my farm, and around half of that percentage were killed.
